THE PAVILION

I'm sure you will have noticed that there are some major changes taking place down at the pavilion! The work on the Pavilion is continuing through the Easter holidays - here are some photos of the work so far. It looks exciting!

This week's news - Monday 23rd March


Last week was all about the eclipse - I hope that you got chance to see it! Check out the photo gallery for more pictures of the event!



This week there are no scientific phenomena, but there is still plenty going on!

Monday is adapted Secure where we will all be working on aspects of the newly launched Parklands 5 Ps. Look at the 5Ps page for information and pictures from the day. 
Monday also sees the inter school STEM challenge. 
On Tuesday several of our Year 10 pupils will go on an MFL trip to Manchester University.
On Wednesday lots of our Year 10s will head off on the Battlefields trip - most students will remember this for the rest of their lives.
There are GCSE art and photography exams all week, and trackers go home for all years on Friday.

Phew - a busy week!

This week's news - March 2nd


This week, we might be discussing what colour our uniform is - blue or white and gold? The internet has been full of the dress, but do you know the science behind it?

This week, Year 8 and Year 9 have their Options evening on Monday - an important evening to make sure you make the right GCSe choices. Year 8 also have their options assemblies on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings.

Year 7 are in for some fun on Thursday - they are off to Brockholes for their Enrichment day. let's cross our fingers for good weather, or it could be a muddy day!

Wednesday is World Book day, so look out for some special events. Keep an eye on the bulletin for more news.

This week's news - 2nd February

The wintery weather continues this week - look out for more snow!
This week it is Respect Day for Year 11 on Monday. Monday is also the closing day for prefect applications - get your forms filled out before it's too late!
It is also house assemblies all week - Australasia on Tuesday, South America on Wednesday, Asia on Thursday and Europe on Friday.
Friday is also the Year 11 Future Aspirations event and the careers fair - if you're not sure what your future holds then maybe Friday's fair will help you to decide...

This week's news - 19th January

Winter has arrived! Lots of us are suffering from coughs and colds this week, so wrap up warm!

This week it is Respect Day for Year 7 on Monday - it is your first one so we hope that you enjoy it! Year 10 have parents evening on Wednesday - hopefully it will be good reports all round!

We also have some guests from Range High School in on Thursday to talk to some of our staff and students about what makes Parklands so great!

Year 11s have the mock exam results event on Monday - it should be a little taster of what it will feel like when you get the real thing in August. Let's hope that all the hard work paid off!
